 ncycmusic.com.au is designed to give people an opportunity to:

  • contribute music for selection as NCYC songs
  • listen to and download NCYC music
  • be involved in an online NCYC community (by contributing to forums and rating music), and
  • find worship resources.

We expect all users of ncycmusic.com.au to treat each other with respect and courtesy. You may use and contribute to ncycmusic.com.au subject to the following terms and conditions of use.

1. Use of material on ncycmusic.com.au

You acknowledge that all material available on ncycmusic.com.au is protected by copyright, international treaties and other proprietary rights. The term "material" includes (but is not limited to) song material submitted to ncycmusic.com.au such as musical works (songs), audio recordings, lyrics, musical scores or charts, photos, biographical information, comments and other material.

The ownership of the material on ncycmusic.com.au remains with the copyright owner (e.g. the songwriter/s).

You may download this material and make a reasonable number of copies of this material only for your own personal use (i.e. not for commercial purposes) and/or use in Uniting Church of Australia (UCA) congregations in Australia and UCA events.

When using material you must recognise the author/s of the material.

You may not otherwise reproduce, transmit, distribute, transfer, publicly perform, publicly display, create any derivative works or copy, sell, resell or exploit (such as for commercial purposes) the material contained on the ncycmusic.com.au unless authorised by the copyright owner. 

Use in UCA congregations and UCA events  

Where the UCA congregation or UCA event has the appropriate copyright licence (such as CCLI or LicenSing ) for a church activity or event, as a user of ncycmusic.com.au you will make every effort to register the download and subsequent use of the material with the applicable copyright licensing agency (such as CCLI or LicenSing ). 

Use outside of UCA churches and events
If you want to use material from ncycmusic.com.au outside of use in UCA churches and events (e.g. in a church that is not part of the UCA) you must obtain permission directly from the copyright owner, or if applicable through the relevant copyright agency (such as CCLI or LicenSing ).

Commercial use

Please contact the copyright owner to seek permission for use of the material other than for personal use. Songwriters may be contacted through ncycmusic.com.au (click on the contact link on the songwriter's profile).

Supporting Christian songwriters

If your church or organisation do not have a licence with a Christian copyright agency, we encourage you to obtain the appropriate licence and in doing so, support the work of songwriters who are registered with Christian copyright agencies such as CCLI or LicenSing .

2. Registration and membership

To contribute to ncycmusic.com.au (e.g. create comments, forum posts or submit a song) you must register an account. In the process of registering an account you must provide personal information that will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. By registering an account you agree that all information you provide is true, accurate and current.

When registering you must choose a username. Your username will be publicly visible and you should consider using an alias to protect your privacy.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any account or edit or remove any material you submit on the basis of the username chosen, content submitted (such as content which is offensive, abusive or racially vilifying, unlawful, inappropriate, obscene, blasphemous, defamatory, intentionally false or misleading, discriminatory, constitutes harassment, breaches privacy or copyright or solicits business) or for any other reason at the sole discretion of the site administrators.

3. User generated content

You may be held legally responsible for content you post to ncycmusic.com.au. This includes musical works (songs), audio recordings, lyrics, musical scores or charts, photos, biographical information, reviews, comments and all other posts. 

4. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify the UCA, it's employees and volunteers against any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of any material you submit to ncycmusic.com.au, your use of the material contained on ncycmusic.com.au, your connection to the related services, your violation of the terms and conditions of use, or your violation of any intellectual property rights of a third party. 

The presence of such material may in some cases be beyond the control of the website administrators. You agree to indemnify the UCA, it's employees and volunteers against any claim or demand in relation to any material posted on ncycmusic.com.au.

5. Warranties

You understand and expressly agree that the services afforded to you through ncycmusic.com.au are being made available to you "as is" and "as available." 

All perceived defects in the material available through ncycmusic.com.au should be reported to the songwriter, who may be contacted through the website.

6. Links to other websites

We are not responsible for and do not endorse the content, information, products or services of any third party websites and any material you access through this ncycmusic.com.au.
